Ideal

The Ideal™ Progressive lens design offers optimal vision through distinctly advanced lens technologies – Image Equaliser and Controlled Power Aberration.

Wearer Benefits

  • Quick and easy adaptation
  • Clear and wide fields of vision for all zones
  • Enhanced visual comfort
  • Optimal, accurate vision
  • Reduced "swimming" effect
  • Effortless viewing across the lens with reduced eye strain
  • Stable vision even while moving

Features

Our visual needs change as we progress in our lives.

This is especially so for new presbyopes, and to ensure the smoothest, most comfortable transition to their new visual requirement, the vital needs of three distinct wearer groups have been identified:

Myopic

Myopic wearers generally have good near vision and only need to correct their distant vision.

New presbyopes will require a vision correction that will provide great near vision, with a wide and clear distant vision.

The digitally surfaced Ideal lens, brings the design closer to the eye, widening the field of vision for far and near vision zones.

Hyperopic

Hyperopic eyeglass wearers need near vision correction, with a minimal focus on distant vision correction. New presbyopes will require a vision correction that will allow them to see well at all distances.

The Control Power Aberration feature of the Ideal lens, provides a soft design. Astigmatism is smoothed and proportionally located in the nasal and temporal areas.

Emmetropic

Emmetropic eyeglass wearers enjoy perfect vision with minimal correction required. New presbyopes must have minimal difference between their current and previous vision. More importantly, they need ease of adaptation to their corrected vision.

The Balance Equaliser feature in the Ideal design, offers the best balance of design in far, intermediate and near vision. It provides the wearers with a higher level of comfort, thus enabling greater ease of adaptation.

Features

Image equaliser

The Equaliser feature built into the Ideal lens design ensures smooth gradients through enhanced stability and orientation, regardless of whether the wearer is engaging in far or near work.

By ensuring the optimal level of stability and orientation, ‘swimming’ sensations are effectively eliminated.

Ideal™

Ideal provides soft sphere slopes, which provide less distortion to aid adaptation.

Lens A

Lens A has unsymmetrical steep sphere slopes, that negatively affect swim and the way the eyes work together.

Lens B

Lens B has steep sphere slopes that are vertically offset, causing longer adaptation time for the patient to adjust to the progression.

Controlled Power Aberration

The digital surfacing on the back side of the lens ensures each prescription’s aberrations are managed by the control index and the accuracy of the lens is extremely precise.

The index provides a soft design thanks to the management of the level of aberration according to the addition.

Wearers are guaranteed much higher levels of comfort.

Key-Hole Effect

Back sided digital surfacing technology brings the design closer to the eye, widening the field of vision and resulting in key-hole effect.

The lens design is perfectly adapted to the visual needs of the wearer and the wearer enjoys wider fields of vision for all zones (far, intermediate and near).

Balance Equaliser

The Ideal lens is designed to keep the balance of power across the whole surface of the lens, providing optimum binocular vision and enabling both eyes to work together effortlessly, allowing the wearers to see well at all distances, with minimum disruption.

Ideal offers the best balance of design in far, intermediate and near when compared to other internally designed progressives.

The Balance Equaliser provides the wearer with a higher level of comfort, thus enabling greater ease of adaptation, whatever the wearer’s lifestyle.
